New Student Registration
We are pleased to welcome you to the Saranac Lake Central School District!
If you are new to the area, or if your child is a former student returning to us, you’ve come to the right place. To begin the registration process, please call the district registrar, Kathy McHugh, at (518) 897-1455 or by email at mchughkat@slcs.org. She would be happy to mail you a registration packet, or you may download the documents from this page.
When the packet is completed, please call the district registrar to schedule a registration appointment. The length of the appointment depends on the completeness of the paperwork and the number of children to be registered. At the time of the appointment, parents/guardians will be asked to provide proof of age, immunization and health records, and proof of residency.
The registrar’s office is located in the Saranac Lake High School’s Guidance Office at
79 Canaras Avenue
Saranac Lake NY 12983.
After parking, access the building through Door #1.
