Special Education

The Committee on Special Education (CSE) coordinates special education services for students ages 5-21 while the Committee on Pre-school Special Education (CPSE) coordinates special education services for children ages 3-5. Suzanne Nicholas, the Director of Pupil Personnel Services, serves as the chairperson for both committees.

Every parent has the right to refer their child to either the CSE or CPSE to determine eligibility for special education services if they suspect their child may have a disability.  The referral process can be initiated by contacting Suzanne Nicholas or the student’s building principal.
