As part of the district’s communications audit, staff, parents and community members are invited to join one of three focus group sessions on Wednesday, December 13 to share their experiences and offer their suggestions. SLCS hopes you are interested in being part of the discussion.

What:     Saranac Lake Central School District Communications Focus Groups
When:    Wednesday, December 13, 2017
Three Sessions: 
    ·  4 p.m. to 5 p.m. (faculty and staff)
    ·  5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (administrators, Board of Education)
    ·  7 p.m. to 8 p.m. (parents, community members)
Where:    Saranac Lake Middle School Library, 141 Petrova Ave.
Purpose: To help the district assess the effectiveness of current communication efforts and to help shape the district’s future comprehensive communications plan.

Please note:  Depending upon the number of people who wish to participate in the focus group conversations, the district may not be able to accommodate all requests. Should we have this wonderful problem, participants will be selected by random drawing.

In the event of inclement weather, the focus group discussions will take place on Wednesday, December 20 or Wednesday, January 3rd (date based on participant availability) at the same location and times.

Next Board Of Education Meeting is Wednesday, December 20th at 5:30pm in the Middle School Library.  Agenda to come soon.


High School Winter Concert

On Monday, December 18th at 7:00 in the High School Auditorium, the Music Department will present their Winter Concert. The performance will feature all of the musical ensembles at the High School from Festival Chorus and Jazz Ensemble to the Select Men's and Women's Vocal Ensembles, Concert Band, and Concert Choir. As is tradition, the concert will end with an alumni and community performance of the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's "Messiah." The concert is free and open to the public.

Petrova Elementary School is accepting gently used household items (no clothing/VHS tapes) for their Holiday Giving event.  Donations are appreciated anytime before 12/15.  Thank you!
