The Petrova Elementary Parents Club welcomes all parents to be a part of their child's education. There are several annual activities that are sponsored by the organization:

Box Tops for Education-General Mills box tops are collected throughout the year with Pizza Hut pizza parties awarded to classrooms collecting the most. In the 2003-2004 school year our students raised over $1,200.00 through this program to put toward our Accelerated Reader software and books!

Holiday Shopping-provides a December shopping experience for all Petrova students. Local crafters set up booths in the school and teachers bring their class to purchase items from $0.25-$5.00. Students may also earn a coupon from their teacher to exchange for one of several crafts at the Parents Club's own booth. Parents volunteer their time to come in and wrap the gifts. It's a great day!

Teacher Appreciation Day-Each May we take time out to show our appreciation for our teachers by putting on a luncheon during Teacher Appreciation Week. Parent volunteers bring in covered dishes and we decorate the stage and add a musical background for atmosphere. Parents seem to enjoy putting it on almost as much as the teachers enjoy the lunch!

Fun Day-This is a June event "just for fun". Parents volunteer their time for a couple hours or the entire day to organize activities for the students. Whether it's soccer, dancing, crafts, or a quick lesson in Spanish, everyone participates indoors and out.
