Safety Officer, Scott Prue, collected samples from all potential drinking water
sources throughout the district this fall, including the typical drinking water
sources such as drinking fountains and kitchen sinks and some areas not
typically associated with drinking water such as custodial closets and bathroom
sinks. In all, 257 samples were collected and sent for testing.
The district has received results from testing at all district-owned, currently-in-use properties. All schools had samples that tested over the allowable limit. The district immediately took these locations
out of service as sources of drinking water. The legislation requires the
district to re-test these water sources using different testing parameters in
order to help determine the source of the contamination. We will replaceorremediatetheaffectedwaterpipesandfixtures as appropriate. Before thewater sourceisbackinserviceforstudentsandstaffmembers,

district is in full compliance with the regulations and will diligently work to
ensure drinking water throughout the district meets the new requirements.
